Box Culvert Installation on Jalan Ramitor Cibubur Completed

The four box culverts installation in the size of 100x100 centimeters located on Jalan Ramitor Ujung, RT 10/14, Cibubur Urban Village, Ciracas, East Jakarta, finally completed. Its installation was started last Friday, using a heavy equipment types backhoe.

And now we're focusing on compacting excavated land

Ciracas Sub-district SDA Executing Unit Head, Yulia Indah said it was done to replace the concrete buis, which was previously damaged and collapsed until it finally covered the water channel installed in the road median

"And now we're focusing on compacting excavated land and casting roads on it. Because initially the road was cemented, we dismantled it to install the culvert and now it has to be cemented again," she expressed, Thursday (5/2).

Ciracas Sub-district SDA Task Force Coordinator, Deby added it would take a week to wait for the excavated land to dry. Once dry, it would be compacted and coated with cast concrete to make it more sturdy when vehicles pass by.

"The length of the road that we will be cementing is around four meters and a width of 1.5 meters. The focus will be on the spot where the box culvert was dug yesterday," he added.

By doing so, it was expected to minimize flooding at the location, as the water flow in the water channel was flowing normally.

"Hopefully, in the future, it will be running smoothly, thus no more flooding," he hoped.
